Mandopop king Jay Chou hosted a live streaming event for the first time on Sunday with his friends Jam Hsiao and Will Liu during which they did some magic tricks and chit chat for about 30 minutes.
The superstar has collaborated with a China-based live streaming platform since last month and has created an account for the occasion.
據官方統計，天王直播最高在線人數有610萬，總觀看人數破6800萬，短短半小時被「斗內」的金額高達1億元台幣。
According to official statistics, the highest number of viewers of the live streaming session was 6.1 million, the total number of viewers exceeded 68 million. Chou obtained 20 million yuan (NT$100 million) in half an hour.
周董人氣旺，整場直播不僅土豪粉絲瘋狂打賞，藝界名人如郎朗、華少、關之琳、王耀慶、范冰冰、吳孟達等人也大方「斗內」，王祖藍更直接刷了700支「穿雲箭」，折合人民幣約20萬（新台幣83萬）。
The first time live streaming was a big hit with his fans and with celebrities who stormed in and sent him gifts, including pianist Lang Lang, Haman Hu, Rosamund Kwan, David Wang, and Fan Bingbing, Ng Man-tat and more.
Among them, Hong Kong actor Wang Zulan has sent Chou 200,000 yuan (NT$830,000) worth of gifts during the session.
